GitHub has made its latest agentic coding model, Gemini 3.1 Pro, available in a public preview for select users on Copilot. The model is designed to excel in efficient edit-then-test loops with high precision and fewer tool calls per benchmark.
Gemini 3.1 Pro is now accessible to Copilot Pro, Pro+, Business, and Enterprise users. Users can enable the model by going through their Copilot settings and selecting it in the model picker on GitHub, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, and mobile apps.
