Week 16 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks

The second round of the fantasy playoffs is underway, and it’s time to make tough lineup decisions. Here are my start/sit fantasy football picks for Week 16 of the NFL season.

Quarterbacks
Baker Mayfield (Buccaneers) at Cowboys is a strong QB1 pick with upside. Despite being ranked as the QB5 on the year, his start percentage was low last week due to injury concerns. However, he has bounced back from his mid-season slump and should benefit from the return of Mike Evans.

Bo Nix (Broncos) is a sit for Week 16 against the Chargers. After an incredible hot stretch, Nix has cooled off, failing to score over 20 fantasy points in three consecutive games.

Running Backs
Jerome Ford (Browns) at Bengals is a start pick. With Nick Chubb injured, Ford has the opportunity to step into a league-winner role and holds legitimate RB2 value with upside.

Najee Harris (Steelers) at Ravens is a sit. Harris has struggled this season and comes off his worst outing against Philadelphia, receiving just 3.1 fantasy points on seven total touches.

Wide Receivers
Khalil Shakir (Bills) vs. Patriots is a start pick. Despite the Patriots’ tough defense, Shakir will likely see plenty of opportunities as Josh Allen’s No. 1 target.

DK Metcalf (Seahawks) at Vikings is a sit. The Seahawks have figured out how to shut down Metcalf, and it’s expected to continue this week against Minnesota.

Tight Ends
Sam LaPorta (Lions) at Bears is a start pick. Last week was the most impressive performance of his year, with 111 yards on seven targets. He should remain heavily involved in Week 16.

Hunter Henry (Patriots) at Bills is a sit. The Patriots’ struggling offense will make it tough for Henry to produce against the dominant Bills defense.
