Samsung is gearing up to launch its new Galaxy S26 lineup at an event in San Francisco on February 25th. To make this year’s Galaxy S series a success, we’re hoping for some significant updates that address our biggest concerns.
Firstly, we’d love to see the Galaxy S26 Parity feature, where minor differences between the S and S+ models are eliminated. This would mean better camera performance, more storage options, and improved face unlock technology.
Camera enthusiasts will be hoping for a leap forward in camera hardware and performance, with features like variable-aperture main cameras or improved optical zoom. We’re also due for a return of truly secure facial recognition, similar to what Apple offers on its iPhones.
In terms of design, we want to see Samsung take some bold steps and create a phone that’s truly unique. This could mean ditching the current Galaxy S+ form factor, adding modularity like the old Moto Z, or incorporating new features like magnets for effortless wireless charging.
Faster on-device AI features would also set these devices apart from the competition, while more storage options and improved face unlock technology would make a big difference to users. We’re also hoping to see a return of S Pen support, with Samsung’s tablet styluses being much more comfortable than their smartphone counterparts.
