Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to return to three of his most iconic action franchises, including “Predator,” “Conan the Barbarian,” and “Commando.” During a conversation at this year’s Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, Schwarzenegger revealed that he is in talks to reprise his roles as Major Alan “Dutch” Schaefer in “Predator,” Conan in “King Conan,” and Joe Connor in “Commando 2.”
Schwarzenegger expressed excitement about the prospect of revisiting these franchises, citing the studios’ renewed interest in him. He mentioned that the director of the upcoming “Predator” film has done a great job with an additional installment, and Fox Studios wants him to star in both this and “Commando 2.”
Regarding his return to Conan, Schwarzenegger revealed that a new writer-director has been hired to write and direct “King Conan,” which is expected to be more age-appropriate for the actor. He praised the studio’s decision to make the film with special effects, allowing him to bring Conan back in an epic way.
This marks another attempt at reviving the Conan franchise, following a 2011 film that was met with disappointing box office results. The new installment promises to be more exciting, given Schwarzenegger’s experience playing the iconic character and the studio’s investment in making it bigger than before.
As Schwarzenegger looks forward to these projects, fans are eagerly awaiting his return to action-packed roles.
