Apple has released its most affordable MacBook in 14 years, and iFixit praises its repairability. Unlike older MacBooks with glued-in batteries, the new MacBook Neo’s battery can be easily replaced by removing 18 screws from a tray. The device also features a flat disassembly tree, accepting replacement parts without issue, and an easier-to-replace display and keyboard. Although it still has some concerns about soldered RAM and storage, iFixit considers its repairability score of 6 out of 10 “strong” for a MacBook.
