Harry Styles Brings Laughs to SNL in Mixed Bag Episode

Saturday Night Live kicked off its latest episode without a political press conference sketch, focusing instead on a heartwarming story about a middle-class family dealing with exorbitant gas prices due to “The Epstein Files.” Donald Trump impersonator James Austin Johnson joined Colin Jost as secretary of war Pete Hegseth, while Harry Styles played multiple roles, including a prosecuting attorney and high school quarterback.

Styles’ double-duty as host and musical guest was a success, despite some questionable accents and queerbaiting material. His impressions of stand-up comedian Sebastian Maniscalco and magician Kenan Thompson were notable highlights, showcasing his impressive range.

Other sketches included MAHAspital, a right-wing medical drama parody, and Sparkle of the Sea, a German ocean cruise line sketch that fell flat due to its over-the-top accents and lengthy runtime. Weekend Update tackled the upcoming Oscars ceremony with Colin Jost inviting right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson, whose characterization felt outdated.

The episode concluded with Styles’ musical performances, including a catchy music video tribute to St. Paddy’s Day. His new fashion collaboration with Target was also featured in one of the sketches. Overall, the episode showed Harry Styles doing well as both host and musical guest, marking a step forward for the show after some recent dire episodes.
