Hollywood Fixer RJ Cipriani Sued by Paramount CEO Jeff Shell

Jeff Shell, president of Paramount Skydance, has filed a bombshell lawsuit against Las Vegas and Hollywood fixer RJ Cipriani, claiming he’s being shaken down for $150M. Shell countersued Cipriani, alleging that Cipriani overstated his association with Shell to bleed money from him. The lawsuit claims Cipriani used a “trusted mutual connection” to cozy up to Shell and then manufactured the illusion of closeness before striking.

According to the lawsuit, Shell received death threats during negotiations over “South Park,” not typically byproduct of dealmaking. Shell also alleges that Cipriani allegedly asked for $10M in demands from him, but Meyer claimed he might be able to get him to accept $5 million. The lawsuit further claims that Cipriani is a “bad guy” who can make trouble if Shell doesn’t pay.

Shell’s attorney declined comment on the allegations of death threats and Cipriani’s team denies Shell’s claims as “utterly outrageous and based upon serious misconceptions.”
