Apple is set to launch its first major redesign of the MacBook Pro since 2021. The updated models will feature OLED touch displays, M6 Pro and M6 Max chips, a Dynamic Island cutout, and are expected to be thinner and lighter.
The new design aims to address previous concerns about weight and size, with the hope of making the laptop more portable without compromising performance. While Apple has enhanced the product with new chips and internal improvements, it’s unlikely to undergo another major overhaul until 2026.
Although there may not be a drastic reduction in thickness, there is still room for improvement. The redesigned MacBook Pro will initially be available on higher-end trims, with the base model expected to follow later, possibly in 2027 or 2028.
The upcoming redesign is generating excitement among users, particularly with the introduction of OLED and touch screens. The new features are expected to bring quality of life improvements and address previous limitations.
