Samsung is set to upgrade its foldable phones with faster charging speeds, according to new listings. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Wide Fold are expected to support 45W charging, a significant jump from the previous models. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will stick to 25W charging.
The company has increased the charging speed of its recent devices, such as the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which now supports 60W fast charging. This upgrade is expected to provide faster wired charging and potentially more consistent battery life. With a larger 5000mAh battery, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could bring Samsung closer to offering some of the best foldable phones on the market.
The new leak comes from regulatory filings in China, which often reveal details about upcoming smartphones before their official launch. If true, this would be the first time Samsung has increased the charging speed of its foldable phones in nearly six years.
