Homeless Teen Turns Successful Advertising Boss

Greg Daily’s life took a dramatic turn when he was just 19 years old, sleeping on friends’ sofas in Minneapolis due to homelessness. However, his family’s entrepreneurial spirit played a significant role in shaping his future.

Daily’s grandfather sold cleaning equipment from the back of a van, teaching him that businesses feed families. This lesson stuck with him and influenced his journey into digital marketing. After completing a journalism course, Daily moved to England for a creative writing diploma at Oxford University, where he began working on digital marketing projects.

In 2019, Daily founded Science in Advertising, a Denver-based firm helping large companies and small businesses manage their online advertising. Despite facing financial uncertainty, Daily persevered, adopting the mindset that “failure is always an option.” He now repeats this phrase to his team, encouraging them to focus on limiting damage rather than avoiding failure.

As a result of his business’s success, Daily has grown its client base and is particularly proud of helping small, family-owned businesses. His own family history has been instrumental in driving his entrepreneurial spirit, which he hopes to pass down to his eight-year-old son, who shows engineering prowess and is learning about making money from 3D printing.
