‘American Idol’ Star Alan Ritchson’s Early Audition Resurfaces After Neighborhood Fight

Alan Ritchson, known for his action-packed role as Jack Reacher, was once a contestant on American Idol in 2004. A viral clip of his audition resurfaced recently, showing him charming judges Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell with his singing skills. Fans are reacting to the video, which reveals Ritchson’s early days as an aspiring actor.

Before becoming an action star, Ritchson sang “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” by Stevie Wonder in front of judges Abdul and Cowell. The performance led to a positive response from the panel, with all three voting “yes” for the next round.

Although Ritchson didn’t make it to the final 32 on Idol, his career has flourished since then. He played roles such as Arthur Curry/Aquaman in Smallville and took on the lead role of Reacher in 2022. Recently, Ritchson made headlines after getting into a fight with his neighbor, Ronnie Taylor.

However, recent footage revealed that Ritchson was wearing a bodycam during the altercation. The video shows Ritchson trying to run away from Taylor, who jumped in front of his motorbike and caused him to fall. After an argument, Ritchson hit Taylor, resulting in the neighbor’s injuries.
