Intel is joining forces with Elon Musk and his companies Tesla and SpaceX to create a massive chip-making venture called Terafab. Intel will contribute its expertise in design and packaging to the project, which aims to produce 1 terawatt of computing capacity per year – twice as much needed by the US.
