No AI Siri in iOS 26.5 Beta Release

Apple recently released the iOS 26.5 beta for developers. However, there’s no sign of the new Google Gemini-powered Siri. This update is notable for its minor changes rather than major features.

Some notable additions include improvements to Apple Maps. In this release, a Suggested Places tab has been added, which may be where future ads will live. Other updates include:

* Easier pairing with “Magic” Apple accessories
* End-to-end encryption for RCS messages between iOS and Android devices
* Updates to StoreKit for developers
* EU-specific changes for third-party wearables and accessories
* Bug fixes for wallpapers

To try the iOS 26.5 beta, developers need to sign up for the Apple beta software program and backup their device before installing.

This release is expected to be followed by the introduction of a new AI Siri in future updates, such as iOS 27.
