Google is introducing “notebooks” to its Gemini AI chatbot to help users organize information about specific topics. Notebooks can hold files, past conversations, and custom instructions, which will serve as context while chatting with Gemini. This feature is similar to ChatGPT’s Projects feature, but has some unique advantages, including syncing with Google’s NotebookLM AI research tool. The notebooks are rolling out this week for paid subscribers and will come to free users in the coming weeks.
