Warren County Schools Increase Full-Time Staff Salaries by 2%

Warren County Public School employees will receive a minimum 2% salary increase starting July 1. The raises are part of the district’s annual “step” increases and come after a 4% raise last June. WCPS Chief Financial Officer Chris McIntyre said the goal is to be competitive in compensation, attracting top talent while maintaining a solid budget. This move follows state legislature approval of increased funding for Kentucky’s education program. However, the school district will need to pull from local funds due to inflation and rising insurance costs, including a 23% increase in commercial insurance premiums, resulting in an additional $600,000 expense.
