Streaming services fans who bought YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026, may be eligible for a cash payout from a class action settlement. The Walt Disney Co. agreed to pay $50 million to settle claims that its practices raised the prices of these services.
To qualify, you must have lived in one of the following states or territories at any time during the settlement period: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Settlement payments will be made to eligible subscribers based on the length of their subscription during the class period. Payments range from 10% to 90% of the net settlement fund, depending on where you lived. For example, those in repealer jurisdictions (listed above) may receive up to 90% of the payment, while those in non-repealer jurisdictions may receive only 10%.
To file a claim and receive a payout, submit an online form or print a claim form, providing your unique ID and PIN from the official settlement notice. The deadline to submit a claim is September 8, 2026.
