Meet Lucy, a 1-year-old Pembroke Welsh corgi from Eagle Point, Oregon, who has won the “Best in State” award for Oregon and is now moving on to the national level. Lucy’s owner, Jennifer Chambers, says it’s been an exciting experience, and she’s thrilled that her pet has become a beloved celebrity.
Lucy was adopted by Chambers through her neighbor when she was just a puppy, and since then, she’s brought immense joy to those around her. The corgi loves water, dressing up, and going on daily walks. Lucy also enjoys swimming in her own pool at home and is eager to explore the local river once she gets a little older.
What makes Lucy special is the happiness she brings to others. Chambers says that whenever they go out, people can’t help but stop and pet Lucy, bringing joy to those around them. The national winner will receive $10,000, tickets for two people and their pet, a spot on the red carpet show, and more.
The Pet Lovers’ Choice Awards Show, where Lucy won her award, also raises money for Best Friends Animal Society, which aims to save dogs and cats in shelters across the country. To vote for Lucy or check out other participating animals, visit petloverschoiceawards.com.
