NVIDIA’s latest app for Windows 11 may be causing performance issues with PC games. A recent investigation by Tom’s Hardware found that running the app while gaming can result in significant degradation in performance, especially on certain titles like Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
The test system using an RTX 4060 card saw a notable drop in performance when playing Black Myth: Wukong and Flight Simulator 2024 at 1080p with medium settings. The issue is not unique to this specific card or games, but the results support claims from some gamers who have reported similar problems.
The NVIDIA app aims to optimize gaming experiences, but it appears to be doing the opposite. To resolve the issue, users are advised to uninstall the app and install the latest drivers from NVIDIA’s website.
