Accessory maker Dbrand has leaked what appears to be the design of Nintendo’s next-gen Switch console, the Switch 2. The leak came from an animation on Dbrand’s website showing a rotating case with curved joy-cons and extra buttons. Despite initially stating they wouldn’t comment, Dbrand’s CEO Adam Ijaz confirmed that the design in the case is indeed the actual Switch 2.
The leaked design seems to be similar in principle to Dbrand’s existing Killswitch cases for other devices like the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and ROG Ally X. The animation shows a smooth rotation of the case, revealing a Switch 2 console with minor upgrades compared to the original Switch.
Dbrand has now released a dedicated webpage for their upcoming Switch 2 case, titled “Switch 2 Killswitch”. The page includes an animation of the rotating case and a form to sign up for notifications when the product becomes available. Nintendo has not commented on the leak yet.
Fans are speculating about the possible design changes and upgrades in the next-gen Switch console. Some have questioned whether the upgrades are substantial enough to warrant a new “Switch 2” model, drawing comparisons with Sony’s PS5 generation.
