Josh Allen Leads MVP Charge with Stefon Diggs’ Endorsement

Bills quarterback Josh Allen is gaining momentum in the NFL MVP conversation after a standout season. His recent performance has been enhanced by the departure of star receiver Stefon Diggs, who had previously praised Allen’s abilities.

Diggs, currently on injured reserve due to an ACL injury, reiterate his support for Allen’s MVP candidacy during an appearance on Good Morning Football. “He definitely should win,” Diggs said. “He’s been balling.”

Diggs’ comments echo a social media post he made last week, where he expressed that Allen “should shorty ballin.” The former Bills receiver has previously shown his admiration for Allen, even responding to critics who downplayed their success.

A Pro Bowl selection in all four seasons with Buffalo and first-team All-Pro in 2020, Diggs’ endorsement gives Allen a boost. He now faces stiff competition from other MVP candidates, but could become the third Bills player to win the award, following Thurman Thomas and O.J. Simpson.

Allen has finished second in MVP voting twice before and is currently favored to win this year’s award.
