Apex Legends Pro Hal Reveals 3-Point Plan to Revive Game

Apex Legends pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has proposed a three-point plan to revive the game’s popularity. The plan focuses on gameplay changes aimed at improving teamplay and reducing competition from other games.

Firstly, ImperialHal suggests reverting the ranked system to its Season 13 version, which emphasized teamwork and accurately represented player skill. This change would aim to rekindle the community’s passion for competitive play.

Secondly, he proposes restoring Horizon’s Prime ability, which was first introduced in Season 7. Hal believes this change would enhance gameplay and give players more opportunities to showcase their skills.

Lastly, ImperialHal recommends reducing controller aim assist values to 0.4, a value that was reduced in Season 22. He argues that this adjustment would be necessary to maintain the game’s competitive edge, especially given the significant player base of controller users.

The pro player acknowledges that minute changes have contributed to Apex Legends’ decline, and he believes these adjustments would help regain players’ attention. However, Respawn faces a challenging task in 2025 to reacquire the lost player base, as the game’s peak Steam player count has dropped from over 470,000 in February to under 150,000 in December.
