Russia’s FSB security agency has detained an Uzbek man over the murder of Igor Kirillov, a top official in charge of its chemical weapons program. According to the Russian government, the suspect claims he was working for Ukraine at the time of the killing.
The incident is expected to be raised at the UN Security Council by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev. The UK has also reacted to comments made by Medvedev regarding a recent article in The Times newspaper.
