Missile Strike in Tel Aviv suburb kills at least 2 people

A missile fired from Yemen damaged a school in a suburb of Tel Aviv early Thursday. The Israel Defense Forces said that Israeli airstrikes on key Houthi energy and port infrastructure in Yemen killed at least nine people, according to reports.

Human Rights Watch accused Israel of killing thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza by denying them access to water since October 2023, which the organization described as a “crime against humanity”. The accusation was denied by Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Oren Marmorstein.

The US special envoy to Syria, Geir O. Pedersen, expressed optimism about Syria’s new government and its potential for free and fair elections. Meanwhile, CIA Director William Burns is in Qatar for ceasefire deal talks with the Middle East conflict remaining unresolved.

The ongoing Israel-Gaza war has lasted over a year, fueled by tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants, including Hamas. The conflict has resulted in significant displacement and humanitarian crises, including famine-like conditions in Gaza.
