A Complete Unknown Wins Big at Movies for Grownups Awards

The annual Movies for Grownups Awards ceremony, hosted by Alan Cumming, took place on Saturday after a delayed start due to the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. This year’s celebration recognized TV and film achievements catering to older audiences. Demi Moore and Adrien Brody won top acting prizes, while A Complete Unknown dominated the night with multiple wins.

A Complete Unknown secured the award for best picture, beating out heavy hitters like Conclave. The film also took home the prize for best time capsule, further solidifying its status as a standout in the industry. Other notable winners included Shogun as the best TV series and “The Piano Lesson” taking the award for best intergenerational film.

Glenn Close was honored with a career achievement award during the ceremony. Although Conclave received the most nominations, it ultimately left empty-handed. The show featured an impressive lineup of nominees in various categories, showcasing talent from across different platforms.
