Judge praised the Yankees’ moves in free agency, including the signings of Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt. These additions will bring a different dynamic to the team, Judge believes.
When asked about Soto’s comments that he has a better chance to win a World Series with the Mets than he did in New York, Judge acknowledged his opinion but disagreed with it. He stated that Soto made a smart decision by taking a lucrative deal with the Mets and expressed happiness for the former teammate.
Judge and Soto were a key duo for the Yankees last season, combining for 99 home runs and 253 RBIs during their lone season together. Despite Soto’s departure, Judge showed no ill will towards his former teammate, looking forward to competing against him in future seasons.
