Aaron Rodgers Reaches 500 Regular Season Touchdowns

Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers became the fifth player in NFL history to throw 500 regular-season touchdown passes, joining an exclusive club alongside Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre. The milestone came in Sunday’s 32-20 win over Miami Dolphins, where Rodgers also broke Matt Ryan for seventh on the career passing list.

Rodgers achieved the feat in the second quarter, connecting with tight end Tyler Conklin for a 7-yard touchdown that gave his team an early lead. This play was reminiscent of old-school red-zone touchdowns from his Green Bay days.

The veteran quarterback has now thrown 500 regular-season touchdowns and is tied with Drew Brees for the third-most seasons reaching this mark, behind only Brady and Manning. His fourth touchdown of the game, a 4-yard pass to Davante Adams, marked the 83rd time he’s connected with his receiver on a score.

Rodgers’ future with the New York Jets remains uncertain after Sunday’s victory. The team is undergoing a reset, with general manager and head coach searches underway. Rodgers has expressed a desire to return, but it’s unclear if the Jets will want him back next season, given their plans to go in a different direction.

The 41-year-old quarterback now sits at 568 career passing touchdowns, an NFL record. His 501st touchdown came on a 13-yard throw to Allen Lazard with just over a minute left in the first half.
