Aaron Rodgers’ Steelers Fate Taking Shape?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still searching for their starting quarterback, but a recent NFL Network segment suggests that Aaron Rodgers might be getting closer to making a decision. Tom Pelissero, an NFL insider, believes “all signs are pointing” towards Rodgers signing with the Steelers. This comes after Rodgers visited the team facility on March 21 and participated in a throwing session with WR DK Metcalf.

Although Rodgers has been trending towards joining the Steelers, he still hasn’t made a final decision about his future. The New York Giants are no longer in the running, having signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Additionally, there’s speculation that Rodgers might be considering retirement at 41.

The Steelers remain the only team actively pursuing Rodgers, and it appears he’s doing due diligence on potentially joining them. However, the Vikings were reported to have been interested in signing Rodgers previously but are now focusing on their own quarterback situation with J.J. McCarthy. If the Steelers don’t secure a deal with Rodgers soon, they might lose patience, especially by training camp.

While there’s no clear timeline for Rodgers’ decision, it seems that Pittsburgh is his primary option aside from retirement. As Pelissero noted, until Rodgers makes an official announcement, there’s always room for doubt.
