Aaron Rodgers Wants Minnesota Vikings, Not Pittsburgh Steelers

NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers is taking his time weighing options for a new team, and sources close to the situation say he’s set on signing with one place only – the Minnesota Vikings. The four-time MVP has reportedly expressed interest in joining the Vikings since their 14-3 season in 2024 ended with a playoff defeat to the Los Angeles Rams.

However, there is a complication. According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the Vikings are committed to second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy and intend to stick with him despite a torn meniscus that has kept the rookie out of action since August 10th. This means Rodgers won’t be joining Minnesota if they decide to pursue their original plan.

Rodgers is said to have talked with over a dozen league sources, all of whom confirm his desire to sign with the Vikings rather than any other team, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, which has also made an offer on the table.
