ACC Legal Disputes Resolved, New Revenue Model Announced

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), consisting of Clemson University and Florida State University among others, has reached a resolution to its ongoing legal disputes. As part of the agreement, both schools will remain full members of the conference.

A new revenue distribution model based on viewership has been implemented, which aims to enhance viewership across all 18 member schools. ACC members will now have the opportunity to earn increased viewership distributions from media revenues and be incentivized to improve their viewership performance.

“This settlement marks a new chapter for our league,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips. “We’re embracing innovation and further incentivizing our membership based on competition and viewership results.”

Clemson University President Jim Clements expressed his appreciation for the efforts made in creating this innovative conference model, stating that it will enable Clemson to remain nationally competitive.

Florida State University President Richard McCullough also praised the settlement, saying it benefits not only his institution but also the ACC as a whole. The resolution brings an end to ongoing legal disputes and paves the way for a stronger, more competitive future for the conference.
