Actor Bruce Glover Dies at 88

Bruce Glover, a veteran character actor known for his roles in several popular films and TV shows, died on March 12. His son Crispin Glover confirmed the news on Instagram without providing further details.

Glover’s film career included notable appearances as Duffy in “Chinatown,” “Walking Tall” and “Hard Times.” He also played Soviet military officer Captain Voda in “The Six Million Dollar Man.”

In 1971, Glover starred alongside musician Putter Smith as Mr. Wint in the James Bond film “Diamonds Are Forever.” In a blog interview, Glover recalled his experience working with director Guy Hamilton, crediting him for helping to create some of the film’s humor.

Glover continued to appear on TV throughout his career, including in shows like “Hart to Hart” and “Murder, She Wrote.” He also taught acting in Los Angeles for many years. At the time of his death, Glover was survived by two sons, Crispin and Michael Leigh.
