Francisco San Martin, who played Dario Hernandez on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” has died at the age of 39. According to authorities, his body was found by police at his Los Angeles home, with hanging as the determined cause of death.
Born in Spain and raised in Montana, San Martin began acting in children’s theatre productions before pursuing a career in models and acting lessons. He appeared in various stage, television, and film productions in Spain before making his U.S. debut in 2013’s “Behind the Candelabra” TV movie.
San Martin had a brief stint on daytime television with 16 episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2017, followed by appearances in seven episodes of “Jane the Virgin.” His co-star Camila Banus shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, remembering San Martin as a friend.
