Acura Unveils Next-Gen All-Electric RSX Model

Acura has announced its next-generation all-electric model, the RSX, which will be produced on Honda’s global EV platform and built at the company’s flexible manufacturing facility in Ohio. The production version of the RSX is expected to arrive in the second half of 2026.

The RSX will accelerate Acura into the Software Defined Vehicle era, introducing its new ASIMO OS operating system. This exclusive system will learn the owner’s preferences and driving behavior to deliver a personalized in-car experience.

In addition to its electric powertrain, the RSX can be used as mobile energy storage, allowing users to power devices and provide home back-up power. The vehicle features a powerful dual-motor all-wheel drive system, sport-tuned suspension, and advanced driver assistive technologies.

The RSX Prototype made its public debut at two major Monterey Car Week events: The Quail and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The production version will be built on the same Marysville Auto Plant production line as the Acura Integra.

Acura’s CEO praised the RSX’s design, saying it delivers on the brand’s “Precision Crafted Performance” DNA with a sporty coupe style that expresses excellent aerodynamics. The vehicle features an expressive coupe-like silhouette, powerful proportions, and high-tech details.

The ASIMO OS operating system will provide integrated management of electronic control units for automated driving and advanced driver assistance systems, in-vehicle infotainment, and other vehicle systems. It will utilize OTA updates to bring new customizable features and services to the RSX, enhancing the ownership experience.

Acura is committed to delivering expressive styling, innovative engineering, and engaging dynamics, all built on its Precision Crafted Performance DNA. With over 90% of Acura vehicles made in America using domestic and globally made parts, the brand continues to prioritize its global carbon neutrality goals.
