Adam Sandler has released the first trailer for “Happy Gilmore 2,” which reunites him with castmates from the original. The Netflix sequel, set to premiere in 2025, sees Sandler reprising his role as the hot-tempered golfer Happy Gilmore.
The trailer features a reunion of Sandler and Julie Bowen, who plays Virginia Venit, Happy’s love interest. The short teaser also includes a cameo by Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs star and Taylor Swift’s partner, in an unspecified role. Additionally, Grammy-winning reggaetón sensation Bad Bunny appears as Happy’s caddie.
In the trailer, Gilmore is seen hitting his tee shot with his signature running start, celebrating another successful shot, and exchanging a tense face-off with his nemesis Shooter McGavin. The trailer also hints at the return of Bob Barker from the original, who died in 2023 but left behind a memorable performance as a golf partner.
The sequel promises to bring back many of the laughs and nostalgic moments that fans loved about the first film. With Sandler’s signature humor and a new cast of characters, “Happy Gilmore 2” is sure to delight both old and new fans alike.
