Adam Thielen Traded to Vikings, Returns Home After 9 Seasons Away

The Minnesota Vikings have reacquired Adam Thielen in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. If this move comes to fruition, it could mark the end of Thielen’s career. The veteran receiver spent nine seasons with the Vikings from 2014 to 2022, earning two Pro Bowl selections and producing multiple 1,200-yard seasons.

Thielen will reunite with Justin Jefferson, his former teammate who has been dealing with a hamstring injury. However, Jordan Addison is suspended for the season’s first three games, making Thielen’s return timely. The Vikings are also without receiver Rondale Moore for the season due to injury.

Carolina, on the other hand, appears confident in their young receiving corps, which includes Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, and Jimmy Horn Jr. This trade may affect quarterback Bryce Young, with whom Thielen had built a rapport over the past two seasons.
