The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) has strongly condemned Israel’s refusal to honor U.S.-brokered ceasefires in Gaza and Lebanon. Over the weekend, Israeli troops opened fire on unarmed Lebanese civilians, killing and wounding dozens.
In Gaza, families who had been displaced for over a year faced gunfire, restrictions, and destroyed homes upon their return. These incidents are part of Israel’s pattern of repeated ceasefire breaches, estimated at 660-800 violations in Lebanon since November 27.
The ADC urges the new Trump administration to demand Israel’s immediate compliance with ceasefire agreements and an end to violence against civilians. The organization calls for genuine accountability and an end to impunity that undermines peace efforts.
The world cannot stand idly by as families seek to return home only to face senseless violence. It is time for action, not inaction, to address the humanitarian crisis and promote lasting peace.
