Adobe has launched a new mobile app called Firefly, which revolutionizes creative ideation with AI-assisted content generation and editing. The app is now available on both iOS and Android devices.
Firefly’s web and mobile apps serve as a standalone experience, allowing creators to generate and edit images and videos from anywhere using AI. The app seamlessly syncs with Adobe’s Creative Cloud applications, ensuring project continuity and streamlining creative workflows.
The Firefly app empowers creators to generate assets across different media types, explore various AI models, and collaborate on concepts without leaving the app. Users can experiment with different styles, remove objects, or paint in new ones using Generative Expand, Generative Remove, and Generative Fill features.
Firefly’s expanded ecosystem of generative AI models now includes partnerships with Ideogram, Luma AI, Pika, and Runway, alongside existing models from OpenAI, Google, and Black Forest Labs. This provides creators with unparalleled flexibility to explore diverse aesthetic styles and media types.
The app also introduces Firefly Boards, a public beta feature that enables creative teams to explore ideas and collaborate on hundreds of concepts at the same time using multiple forms of media. With the addition of video to its AI-powered moodboarding surface, Firefly Boards allows users to remix uploaded video clips and generate new video footage.
To ensure transparency and protect creators’ rights, Firefly automatically attaches Content Credentials to AI-generated content, clearly indicating whether Adobe Firefly models or partner models were used. This empowers creators with more tools and choices to ideate, collaborate, and produce high-quality content seamlessly and with confidence.
Firefly continues to bring new users to the Adobe ecosystem, with first-time subscribers growing 30 percent quarter over quarter. The app’s success has led to over 24 billion assets created using its generative AI models, showcasing its impact on creative industries worldwide.
The Firefly mobile app is available now in the App Store and Google Play Store, while Firefly Boards is available in beta on the Firefly web app. For more information on Adobe’s approach to AI, visit https://www.adobe.com/ai/overview/firefly/gen-ai-approach.html
