Adobe has announced new intelligent contract capabilities in its Acrobat AI Assistant, designed to simplify working with contracts. The feature uses generative AI to help customers understand complex terms and spot differences between multiple agreements.
The new technology can assist with various types of contracts, including credit card and vendor agreements, loyalty programs, and purchase orders. According to a survey by Adobe Acrobat, nearly 70% of consumers have signed contracts without knowing all the terms, while 64% of small business owners avoid signing contracts due to lack of confidence in understanding their contents.
Abhigyan Modi, senior vice president of Adobe Document Cloud, stated that AI can be a game-changer for customers who open billions of contracts each month. The new contract intelligence capabilities aim to deliver this experience by providing clear language and clickable citations, making it easy to navigate and verify responses.
The feature is available on desktop, web, and mobile in worldwide English, with pricing starting at US$4.99 per month as an add-on for both free Reader and paid Acrobat users.
