Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced film producer convicted of rape and other sex crimes, has spoken out about Adrien Brody’s recent Oscar win. Following Brody’s acceptance speech at the 2025 Oscars, Weinstein expressed happiness for his ex-wife Georgina Chapman’s boyfriend and his two children.
Weinstein’s representative told PEOPLE that he is “happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve.” The comments came after Brody gave a shoutout to Weinstein’s daughter India, 14, and son Dashiell, 11, during his acceptance speech.
Chapman married Weinstein in 2007 but was granted primary custody of their children in 2017 after he was accused of sexual misconduct by over 80 women. The couple had made their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021 and have since appeared together several times.
Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year sentence at Rikers Island in New York City, awaiting a retrial for his California convictions. His 2020 New York convictions were overturned in April 2024.
