A new company, Inception Point AI, is creating and hosting podcasts using artificial intelligence (AI) that can produce shows at minimal costs. The company’s goal is to scale and control its talent, unlike traditional human hosts who often have short-term contracts and high production costs. With the help of AI-powered tools, the network produces over 3,000 episodes a week, with some earning as little as $1 per episode in profit. The company has already seen 10 million downloads since September 2023 and is experimenting with social media profiles for its AI personalities. While there are concerns about ethics and depth of engagement, Inception Point AI aims to create thousands more personalities in the near future.
