A cockpit voice recording of doomed Air India Flight 171 has revealed a shocking exchange between two pilots on board. According to sources familiar with the matter, a junior pilot asked his more experienced colleague why he turned off the plane’s fuel-supply switches. The question was made public for the first time in a preliminary report from India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, which is investigating the June 12 crash in Ahmedabad that killed everyone on board.
