Airbnb Lowers Q2 Growth Forecast Amid US Travel Weakness

Airbnb Inc. has issued a weaker-than-expected outlook for its second-quarter growth, citing softening demand for travel in the US. The company joins Booking Holdings Inc., another online travel agency, in attributing this trend to economic uncertainty.

For the quarter ending June 30, Airbnb predicted a moderation of nights and experiences booked, with a growth rate of 7.9%, down from the first-quarter’s 8.6% increase. This forecast falls short of Wall Street’s projections of an 8.6% rise for the same period.
