Major US airlines, including United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hyundai Motor, Chrysler, Boeing, General Motors, Ford Motor, Microsoft, Amazon.com, Alphabet, and Facebook-parent Meta, have collectively donated $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee. The donation comes as the companies’ CEOs attend various events over the long holiday weekend, with some opting out of attending the inauguration itself due to weather concerns.
Among those attending are United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby, who will participate in dinners on Saturday and Sunday but not the actual event. Other notable attendees include major tech CEOs.
