Al B. Sure!, ex-husband of late model and actress Kim Porter, shares his insights on rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in a new documentary called Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.
The film, which just premiered on Peacock, offers an exclusive look at Combs’ early career before he became famous as Puff or Diddy. Interviewees include figures from Combs’ inner circle, including former bodyguard and makeup artist, Tim Patterson, and Combs’ childhood friend.
According to the director, Al B. Sure!’s participation was not contingent on him revealing secrets or sharing his entire life story. The 56-year-old singer-songwriter and record producer simply shared what he was comfortable discussing within the context of his complicated relationship with Combs.
As a renowned artist, Al B. Sure! has had a varied career, including work as an American singer, songwriter, radio host, and former record executive. Currently, he serves as the executive chairman of the Health Equity in Transplantation Coalition, which advocates for organ donation transplant recipients’ rights.
