Alan Alda has given his seal of approval to Netflix’s new TV series reboot of “The Four Seasons,” a romantic comedy inspired by his 1981 classic film. The legendary actor praised the show at its New York City premiere, calling it a “beautiful job” and expressing his admiration for creator Tina Fey.
Alda visited Fey, along with her co-showrunners Tracey Wigfield and Lang Fisher, after her speech, and was visibly moved by her kind words about him. Fey thanked Alda by kissing his cheek, joking that he had “stolen my thunder.” The praise from the Hollywood legend is a testament to Fey’s skill in adapting the beloved film for modern audiences.
The TV series follows three married couples across four seasons as they navigate love and relationships. The show stars Fey, along with Colman Domingo, Will Forte, and Steve Carell, and will be available to stream on Netflix starting May 1.
