ALDI Recalls Shredded Cheese Due to Stainless Steel Fragments

A recall of nearly 5,000 packages of shredded cheese by ALDI has affected four states, including Michigan. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued the recall due to potential stainless steel fragments in the product.

Michigan is among the states impacted, with over 100 ALDI stores affected. The recall was initially issued on February 15 but was re-classified as a Class II recall by the FDA on March 19.

The affected cheese products are marked with expiration dates of July 13 and 14, 2025, and have a batch number of 8679653. Consumers should check their purchases to see if they are part of the affected batch.

While the FDA considers the risk of serious adverse health consequences remote, it is still important for consumers to be aware of the recall. ALDI has yet to comment on the matter.
