Aldi’s Happy Farms Cheese Recalled Due to Foreign Matter Contamination

Aldi’s Happy Farms shredded cheese has been recalled across four states in the US due to potential foreign matter contamination. The recall, initiated by Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc. on February 15, 2025, affects approximately 4,000 bags of Colby Jack shredded cheese.

The affected product was sold at Aldi stores in Connecticut, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. To identify the recalled cheese, check for the following information:

– Batch number: 8679653
– Item number: 170374
– UPC: 4061463330840
– Lot number: Best By JUL 13 25 H or Best By JUL 14 25 H

Consumers who have the recalled cheese should discard it immediately. Aldi will also provide a full refund or replacement for the product.

This is not the first recall issued by Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc. this year. In January, the company issued a market withdrawal for its Our Family American Cheese Slices due to a “flavor discrepancy.”
