Alec Baldwin Claims ‘Another Phase’ Coming in Rust Shooting Case

Alec Baldwin is moving forward with seeking justice for the 2021 Rust on-set shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Despite an involuntary manslaughter case being dismissed in July, he says there’s another phase coming in the next couple of months to expose what really happened on set.

Baldwin expressed his frustration with the press, stating they suppressed stories beneficial to him and amplified those that harmed him over the past three years. He believes a full trial would have provided more clarity on the case but is grateful for the judge’s dismissal with prejudice.

Baldwin’s team had prepared “troves of evidence” for the trial but was not presented due to undisclosed critical information from the state. The Oscar-nominated actor plans to take a break and pursue bringing the truth to light again in the coming months, saying he wants to “expose what really happened” without discussing it publicly at the moment.
