Alien Comet or Technological Probe? Harvard Physicist Weighs In

A mysterious object, 31P/Atlas, is visiting our solar system from another star, sparking debate among scientists about its true nature. Harvard physicist Avi Loeb has suggested that the comet could be an alien probe on a reconnaissance mission, citing its unusual trajectory and characteristics.

The object, which is over 12 miles wide, is moving at a pace of 37 miles per second and will pass close to Mars, Venus, and Jupiter in the coming weeks. What’s striking about 31P/Atlas is that it doesn’t have a tail, unlike typical comets, but instead shows an unexpected glow ahead of it.

Loeb believes this anomaly suggests that 31P/Atlas may not be a natural comet, but rather a technological object designed to monitor or interact with our solar system. He notes that the probability of such an alignment is extremely low, making it highly improbable that the trajectory happened at random.

If confirmed as an alien probe, the implications would be significant, and humanity would need to consider how to respond to this potential extraterrestrial presence.
