The new series Alien: Earth promises more than just Xenomorphs as it delves into the aftermath of a spaceship crash-landing on Earth, bringing two new extraterrestrial threats to the table.
The show, from creator Noah Hawley, includes unseen species with eerie designs, such as tentacled eyeballs and centipede-like creatures. These beings come from a Weyland-Yutani ship sent to capture various species for study, setting the stage for tension and horror.
In contrast to previous Alien films, Alien: Earth also features synthetic threats, similar to Prodigy’s successful human-to-synthetic transfer technology showcased in the show. The series will explore humanity’s survival chances and evoke fear, as cast members Babou Ceesay and David Rysdahl discuss their characters’ stressful encounters with alien threats.
Alien: Earth premieres on August 12 on FX and FX on Hulu, inviting fans to experience a fresh take on the Alien franchise.
