Alix Earle’s tenure at The Unwell Network has ended after reports of a feud between her and co-founder Alex Cooper surfaced. According to Variety, the network dropped Earle’s popular podcast “Hot Mess” due to their alleged disagreement. This move allows Earle to pursue future opportunities without any ties to the network.
The decision marks a significant change for the network, which Cooper founded with her husband Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment. The Unwell Network is also the parent company of SiriusXM, which will no longer sell ads for “Hot Mess.”
Representatives from both Cooper and Earle have been contacted by PEOPLE for comment on this matter. However, no official statement has been issued yet.
Fans speculate that a rift between Earle and Cooper may be to blame for their departure. In February, Earle was absent from an Unwell Super Bowl party in New Orleans, sparking rumors of tension between the two influencers.
Earle has been open about her friendship with fellow influencer Hallie Batchelder and recent super fan outings on social media. She also posted videos during her time in New Orleans, including dinner dates and friend nights.
The Hot Mess host was one of the first talents to join The Unwell Network when it launched in August 2023. Earle’s co-host Ashtin joined for Season 2, which premiered last September. In a statement about Season 2, Earle expressed her excitement about working with her sister.
